Pipeline inspection class AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) with unique Features that replacing the conventional inspection by ROV
The XPLORER can perform any pipeline inspection mission currently operated by ROVs. However, it operates twice as fast and is vastly cost efficient by not requiring a DP II support vessel. It does not only provide major cost saving benefits, but also offers a green environmental solution to Oil and Gas operations.
The XPLORER navigation system is using an in-house algorithm to auto track pipelines using data from the multibeam profiler and the imaging sonar to determine the pipe position and direction.
The XPLORER is equipped with all the necessary sensors required for pipeline inspection including image and video recording, free-span detection, electric field gradient measurement and CP stab.
The operation of the XPLORER is achieved thanks to wireless communication via acoustic waves connecting to a web-application for system monitoring and control purposes.
